The Place Ill Return....

Before my ORD, there were 3 major things i was worried about.. ORDing, my driving test, and my uni application..

By today, all 3 have been answered!

1)Shane has ORD-ed
2) Even though i had problems getting to sleep due to the anxiety, I tried my best today.. even the taxi driver uncle wished me all the best and to relax. And yes.. I got 16 points on my 3rd attempt.. I've passed my driving test!
3) SIM RMIT sent me an approval to induct into Full time marketing which i applied for a month back..

So on 20th May 2010, my wishes have been answered.. Nothing can hide the smile on my face for now.. Thank god.. and life is good.. for now

Oh my oh my, time flies by like the stars in the sky.. What am i talking about ? ORD of course..
Those magical 3 letters that every young fit and able Singaporean man yearns for.

I remember telling people that in these 2 years in service, I'll be in "Standby" mode, and whatever happens to me in this period of time, I won't let it affect me in any negative way.. Come to think of it, that sounds childish to me.

I mean, how can army not affect me in any negative way( psychologically at least). Physically, it has taken away my healthy spine, knees and skin.. pretty badly in fact. At the very least, i was able to achieve physical feats i've never thought i was able to, like running 2.4km in 9 minutes flat, or doing chin-ups with ease( after much training and determination of course).

I was always looking forward to dragging my duffel bag down that flight of stairs which i dragged it up initially. I had helped batches to drag their duffel bags down, and i was thinking " Yes! Finally my turn!". Strangely, it wasn't that exciting after all that anticipation... hah.. Anyway, it's still worth celebrating.

To my dear friends, Javen, Hien Yong, Dickson, Aloy, Tong Kiat and all my beloved other friends in army who will ORD with me or after me, and to Justin who's going to enlist soon.. I'll be waiting and Congrats! cause it will all end reallly soon.. trust me.. damn fast one..

I have met many great friends in these 2 years, some of whom i'm sure ill keep in contact with till i die. It's been great.. see u my dear locker, see you my dear green uniform (for now at least, both sets old n new)..

In 5 days time, i'll get my pink ic.. sooo ORD LO!!
